The 2017 International conference is organized by members of the SNSF−Project  “Change and Continuities from a Christian to a Muslim Society — Egyptian Society and Economy in the 6th to 8th centuries”, working in the Ancient History section of the University of Basel’s Department for Ancient Civilizations. They will be chairing the four conference panels in May.
